2010 Convention Bowling Tournament Set
The first ever Multiple State Convention bowling tournament will be held on May 20 at the AMF Puyat Bowling Center in Farmer’s Plaza, Araneta Center. This bowling tournament is envisioned to provide bowling sports enthusiasts a venue to display their talents and prowess and compete with fellow lions members and friends. This event can also provide a relaxing atmosphere for the arriving delegates, guests, family members and friends as they can unwind during the 1st day of the Convention. A maximum of 24 teams composed of 5 players (can be mixed male and ladies) per team can join this pioneering event. Entry fee is pegged at P2,500 per team which will cover the lane fees. The 24 teams will compete on a 3-game elimination format after which the top 4 scoring teams will advance to the Championship Round to determine the Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up teams. All teams will simultaneously play at 3:00 pm. Games are expected to be finished by 7:00 pm and awarding will immediately follow. The following trophies and cash prizes are at stake:
Top Scorer Male Division Elimination Round + P1,000 cash prize
Top Scorer Ladies Division Elimination Round + P1,000 cash prize
Team Champion + P5,000 cash prize
1st Runner-Up Team + P2,500 cash prize
2nd Runner-Up Team + P1,000 cash prize
Deadline of registration is on May 8 or until the 24 teams are filled up. Registration is on a first-come-first serve basis.
