Two More Weeks To Go!

 

We have two weeks to go before the 61^st Lions Multiple District 301 Philippines State Convention.

To kick off the event, we have a golf tournament at 6:00 AM on Thursday, 20 May 2010 at the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club (AFP General Headquarters). It is a shot gun start and Peoria System format.  Then at 1:00 PM on the same day, the bowling tournament will be held at the Farmers Plaza, where only 24 teams are allowed. Let us all join these tournaments and experience the camaraderie, brotherhood, and fellowship of being a Lion.

The state convention is also fully supported by the Quezon City government. During the event, we will have a Quezon City tour, and one of the highlights is to see one of the shows of either ABS-CBN or GMA.  It is co-organized by the tourism group of Quezon City. You may now book your reservations.

At the Gateway Mall in Araneta Center, the Lions Convention Bazaar will be open from 9:00 AM on Thursday, 20 May up to 12:00 noon on Saturday, 22 May, a two-and-a-half day bazaar where you can find souvenirs and memorabilia for this convention.

At 8:00 AM the next day, Friday, 21 May 2010, we will open the Multiple State Convention at the Araneta Coliseum, where the PBA games, the biggest concerts, and entertainment shows are often held. There are a lot of surprises prepared by the five hosting clubs (QC Cubao, QC Kawilihan, QC Metro Novaliches, Pasig Host, and San Ildefonso Lions Clubs) during this affair. On Friday afternoon, 21 May, the coliseum will be open to the public, as well as to all lions and their guests, for a forum on environmental change.

At 5:00 PM on the same day, Friday, the grand parade of the Lions will be held within the Araneta Center complex to show and make our presence known to the public.

The whole day of Saturday, 22 May 2010, will be devoted to the different activities of the lions, including the elections, and will be capped by the governor’s ball at the Crowne Plaza in the evening.

In behalf of the Hosting Clubs for the 61st Lions Multiple District 301 Philippines State Convention on May 20-22 2010, we invite all Lions for the annual Lions Multiple District State Convention wherein the main convention sites will be at the Araneta Coliseum, Gateway Suites of the Gateway Mall, Araneta Center, Cubao, and The Crowne Plaza Hotel most likely for the Governors Ball.

We conceptualized the forth coming convention to be the most profound, well attended, and to be the most memorable in a successful staging of the Lions State Convention to be held for the first time in the heart of a business center at the Araneta Center, Cubao, QC. We encourage fellow Lions to do pre registration for both voting and non voting delegates as we campaign for the highest registered delegates for the MD Convention in the recent past to enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie among fellow Lions, families, and friends. The convention aims to expend our horizon for a heightened public awareness campaign in pursuit of the noble endeavors of the associations goal for better image to the society we pledged to serve.

We look forward to seeing you all in the staging of the 61st Lions Multiple District State Convention at the Araneta Center, in Cubao, Quezon City.
